THE FINEST TRANCE & HOUSE SOUNDS ON WEBRADIO

The time has come for new chapter in Rene van Akens podcast show, The Finest Trance & House Sounds. The 1 hour show was signed to several web radio stations. This means that the show is going to be broadcasted on radiostations reaching people all over the world. The estimated amount of listners now upgraded to a 100.000.

THE WHITNEY HOUSTON FINAL HOUSE MIX

Very sad news about Whitney Houston, she died on february 11 2012. The world was shocked, another pop idol past away. As an appreciation Rene van Aken made a special 1 hour dance mix with the best of her remixes from the 80s, 90s and 00s. The mix is called: The Whitney Houston Final House Mix

In the month March 2012 this mix will be broadcasted on several radio stations all over the world.

The mix is a selection of the 17 best remixes from the world famous Junior Vasquez, Clivilles & Cole and Hex Hector. Because some of the remixes are not available on cd Rene even used some vinyl records from his own collection. Rene did a simular thing in 2009 when Michael Jackson died, The Michael Jackson Final House Mix was also a big succes. There even is a video mix on you tube.

RENE VAN AKEN @ The Sound of Energy

A blasting indoor festival on the 17th of December 2011 in the Zwolle IJslandhallen. Rene van Aken is playing in the sound of energy stage, together with Menno de Jong, Cliff Coenraad and Alex MORPH.

This is the second edition of Fusion of Dance festival and even bigger that last year with different styles of house music. The Sound of Energy is the TRANCE stage with room for 1.500 people.

From the 25th of August 2011 you will be able to go to www.unleashthebeat.com and vote for your best remix of: Jes – Unleash the beat (Rene van Aken remix).

As Jes Brieden is THE favorite singer of Rene van Aken it was easy to deside to join this contest. We met eachother one in the Gelderdome in Arnhem and Jes is such a warm personality and very enthusiastic it will give you shivers up you spine.

Rene was working on this remix for 2 weeks in the studio. To start I’ll needed the multitrack of the song: unleash the beat. From there only the acapella track was used and everything else programmed by Rene. It was a great track to work on, with a vocalist like Jes everything comes together easely.

Please bring out your vote because the remix with most of the votes will get an official release on Black Hole Recordings (Tiestos former record label).

3 weeks of hard work building a new studio

NEW STUDIO UP AND RUNNING

After 3 weeks long and hard work the Rene van Aken sound studio is up and running. The official name is Bouncy recordings. A lot of items were replaced from the old studio like the computer (eventually not an Apple), sound card, keyboard and synth, monitor speakers and other handy (software) tools.

First 2 production to start at are a trancy track with a classical guitar played by Giorgio Cacchi and a vocal summer track with female singer Susanne Zuurbier. The last one has already been recorded last year.

RELEASE OF 3 TRACKS ON POLENA RECORDS

The release of three Rene van Aken records is official.  They will be released on Polena records an Italian house label.
The tracks are called:

• Scream 4 daddy
• Let’s all get down
• Mighty punch

The last track “mighty punch” is a collaboration with dj BEL-C (Joost van Belzen) and certainly has trancy influences. About 6 Sunday afternoons were spent in the studio to put this track together and it was lots of fun.
“Scream 4 daddy” is a more uplifting and exploding trance sound and was the First track to be finished. Therefor it could be tested in the clubs and got great reactions.  The track “Let’s all get down” got a more housy sound with scratching effects and an acid melody in the middle . From the very start this track had a special vibe in it.

The finest selection of Michael Jackson’s house tracks in one mix

MICHAEL JACKSON FINAL HOUSE MIX BROADCAST ON 15 RADIOSTATIONS

The 29 of september 2010 is a big day for Rene van Aken. His dedication to with the “Michael Jackson final house mix” will be broadcasted on 15 radio stations through Holland. He worked at least one month to make this mix possible. Two weeks to search and select the best Michael Jackson house mixes. And two weeks to combine all the tracks in a one hour megamix. He even remixed some of the tracks in a personal mix. The megamix is made with a multitrack program.

On saturday the 29th it would be Michael Jackson birthday, that makes this extra special. Rene will give lots of telephone interviews and explaim how this was done. In the evening you can listen to the mix on three different radio stations at the same time. Michael Jackson R.I.P.

Rene van Aken on national radio on 22 august

BOOTLEG REMIX “I JUST DIED IN YOUR ARMS TONIGHT” BROADCAST ON FRESH FM

Rene van Aken remixed the Cutting Crew – I just died in your arms tonight. For this bootleg remix the original midi file from "I just died in your arms" was used. It was tranceformed in an uplifting house version with trance influences. This remix is chosen to broadcast on national dance radio station Fresh FM on 22 august with an interview with Jurgen.

First official release ever

RELEASE OF 2 TRACKS WITH DJ NISTA

Dj Nista and Rene van Aken finished two house tracks that will be released on the label expand digital. You can download the tracks soon at: www.dance-tunes.com.
Both song certainly have a club house sound. In the First track “easy man” they used a male voice with reggae influences, this gives the track a happy sound. The second track “electroplate” is more serious with lots of small techy noises.

For both dj’s this is the first official release ever, so a special moment.
